About Us

The Bodhi Bus was established in March 2009 to offer remote communities a reliable and professional bus passenger service which aims to improve access to regional centres across the Top End for remote area residents.

Many of our clients use our services to access medical care, retail businesses and a wide range of government departments and services.

Our fleet currently consists of two Mercedes 39 seater Axor Trucks, one Mercedes 31 seater Axor 4WD Truck, one Troop Carrier, a Brahman 28 seat AWD mini-coach and three 34 seater MAN Coaches which are fully air conditioned and customized to suit travel in remote areas. With our own in-workshop mechanic, our fleet is maintained to the highest standard to ensure their reliability in the rough dirt road conditions.

Updates

The Bodhi Bus will be taking a break over the Easter Holiday weekend. The Darwin route service on Thursday, April 17th will be the last one operating until the services resume on Tuesday, April 22nd with the Lajamanu, Ngukurr and Borroloola runs. There will be no services running on the 18th-21st of April inclusive. Thank you and we hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend.

Katherine-Ngukurr and return route service for March 11th, 2014 has been turned around. The boat is currently unable to ferry passengers to Ngukurr so the service has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience and will post updates closer to Friday concerning its chance of running.

As of Saturday, March 1st, 2014 – the return times for the Darwin to Katherine service will change to a 1pm check-in and 1:30pm departure from the Woolies Carpark, Casuarina Shopping Centre. This will mean a new estimated arrival time in Katherine of 5:15pm. This is effective across the Monday, Thursday and Saturday Darwin services.
