About Us

The Bodhi Bus was established in March 2009 to offer remote communities a reliable and professional bus passenger service which aims to improve access to regional centres across the Top End for remote area residents.

Many of our clients use our services to access medical care, retail businesses and a wide range of government departments and services.

Our fleet currently consists of two Mercedes 39 seater Axor Trucks, one Mercedes 31 seater Axor 4WD Truck, one Troop Carrier, a Brahman 28 seat AWD mini-coach and three 34 seater MAN Coaches which are fully air conditioned and customized to suit travel in remote areas. With our own in-workshop mechanic, our fleet is maintained to the highest standard to ensure their reliability in the rough dirt road conditions.

The final Numbulwar service of the year has been cut short. The Numbulwar road is currently in poor condition with some deep water crossings and floodways. The service will leave on Thursday, December 18th, incorporate anyone wishing to travel out to Minyerri and will terminate at Ngukurr. It will return to Katherine on Friday December 19th with regular pickup time at Ngukurr around 10:30am. It will also stop through Minyerri on its way into town to pickup any incoming passengers. Thank you for your patience and have a great holidays! See everyone next year!

With the potential for a lot of rain and changes in road conditions over the holiday break, the Bodhi Bus will only be running the Ngukurr one day service when we return in 2015. Tuesday, January 6th and Friday, January 9th will be run according to the wet season schedule. There will be no service to Numbulwar as of January. The last regular Numbulwar service will be this week outgoing on December 18th and incoming on December 19th.

Due to deteriorating road conditions and more prevalent rains, the Bodhi Bus will cease its Bulman Route Service after Wednesday December 17th. It will resume again after the wet season.
